TITLE: DoD 6055.6-M, "DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program," February 23, 2006
SUMMARY: This Manual is issued under the
authority of DoD Instruction 6055.6. It
establishes uniform professional qualification standards, standardized training,
and certification procedures for all DoD Fire and Emergency Services personnel
and applies to the Office of the Secretary
of Defense (OSD) and those DoD Components having responsibility for maintaining
organized fire and emergency services (hereafter referred to collectively as the
“DoD Components”). The term
“Military Services,” as used herein, refers to the Army, the Navy, the Air
Force, and the Marine Corps.
