SUMMARY: This Directive reissues DoD Directive 5230.11, December 31, 1984 replaces DoD Instruction 5230.17, February 17, 1985 implements National Disclosure Policy-1, "National Policy and Procedures for the Disclosure of Classified Military Information to Foreign governments and International Organizations," (short title: National Disclosure Policy (NDP-1)), October 1, 1988, and updates policy, responsibilities, and procedures governing proposed disclosures of classified military information to foreign governments and international organizations (hereafter referred to as "foreign governments").
