TITLE: DoD Directive 5101.9, "DoD Executive Agent for Medical
Materiel", August 23, 2004
SUMMARY: Pursuant to the authority of the Secretary of Defense
under Section 125 of title 10, United States Code and in accordance with DoD
Directive 5101.1, "DoD Executive Agent," September 3, 2002, this Directive:
- Designates the Director, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as the DoD
Executive Agent (DoD EA) for Medical Materiel for the Department of Defense.
- Identifies the responsibilities, functions, and authorities of the DoD EA for
Medical Materiel to the other DoD Components worldwide, in peacetime, wartime,
for homeland defense, and other contingencies.
