TITLE: DoD Instruction 4710.02, "DoD Interactions with Federally-Recognized Tribes", September 14, 2006
SUMMARY: This Instruction implements DoD policy, assigns responsibilities, and provides procedures for DoD interactions with federally-recognized tribes (hereafter referred to as “tribes”) in accordance with DoD Directive 5134.01, DoD Directive 4715.1E, DoD Instruction 4715.3, and Secretary of Defense Policy dated October 20, 1998, Executive Order 13175, and the Presidential Memorandum dated September 23, 1994.
