TITLE:  DoD Directive 1325.2, "Desertion and Unauthorized Absence", August 2, 2004

SUMMARY: This Directive reissues DoD Directive 1325.2, August 20, 1979 to update uniform policies and guidance designed to reduce desertion and unauthorized absence of military personnel, foster the development of effective deterrent programs, enhance apprehension efforts, and support accurate and timely reporting of cases of desertion and unauthorized absence.
