The Board of the Military Librarians Workshop regretfully announces the cancellation of the 2001 Military Librarians Workshop, due to the events stemming from the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Checks sent to the Treasurer for this event which have not yet been deposited will be returned. Refund checks will be issued to all others. This process is expected to take no more than two weeks.

Room Reservations Cancellations

For Members who made a room reservation for MLW 2001 anywhere in Colorado Springs, CO: Cancel the reservation now unless there are personal travel plans involved or if you haven't already done so.

For those registered at the Antlers Adams Mark Hotel in Colorado Springs, CO to do right away:

• Call the Hotel and cancel your reservation right away. 719-473-5600 or 800-444-2326
• Get a cancellation number and keep it until your next Government or other Credit Card Bill arrives.

If there's a problem, you need to deal with it promptly.

Registration Refunds

MLD Treasurer, Claudia Tavares, has returned checks that had not yet been deposited in the MLD Bank Account to the MLD Member involved. Refund checks have been issued and mailed on October 3, 2001 to those whose checks were already in the MLD Account. Look for a check in the mail.
