Objective: Identify community activities that could benefit Intelink
users
Actions:
- Host monthly CCTWG meetings
- Rotate meetings among member locations with host organization providing
briefings and demos of collaborative related projects
- With the December minutes, include a short survey to query IEB and CCTWG
members to identify current and planned collaborative computing activities,
evaluation methods, shortfalls (areas that need to be worked), technology
trends, and general issues
- Maintain CCTWG home page on Intelink
- Post meeting announcements and minutes
- Post results of member studies, tests, and activities
- Maintain spreadsheet of members
- Facilitiate member additions
- Communicate with CIA members through LotusNotes
Objective: Install collaborative computing software in the Intelink environment
- Identify software tool to be used by all members
- Install software in two locations (NEL and other location)
- Perform initial testing to ensure two-way connectivity
- Hold TEM online
- Plan for deployment to other users
- Configure software at additional locations
- Hold CCTWG meeting online
Objective: Identify issues and requirements for collaborative computing
in the Intelink environment
- Develop quick turnaround test plan for spiral development process
- Conduct evaluation
- Document results
- Document lessons learned
Objective Determine the impact of international standards on desktop
collaborative computing
- Conduct preliminary research on status of standards
- Plan Community-wide conference on standards
- Identify follow-on activities
Objective Identify and evaluate additional collaborative computing tools
for use in Intelink environment
