Biomedical Research & Development
The mission of the DoD Biomedical Science and Technology Program is to protect the warfighter from health threats including trauma, infectious diseases and occupational and environmental hazards, and to develop and apply techniques and materiel supporting a continuum of care that begins with interventions on the battlefield, extends through evacuation, and culminates in reducing the long-term debilitating sequelae of combat injuries.
