Brigadier General Gina S. Farrisee is the Commanding General, United States Army Soldier Support Institute at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Richmond and a Master's Degree in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University.  She was commissioned through ROTC at the University of Richmond.  She has served in numerous personnel and command assignments with a variety of units, including: White Sands Missile Range; U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army; U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Center; I Corps; 32nd Army Air Defense Command; 5th Personnel Group; Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel; Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army; 22nd Personnel Services Battalion; United States Army Enlisted Records and Evaluations Center; and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense.  Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Adjutant General for the Army and Commanding General, Physical Disability Agency and Executive Director, Military Postal Service Agency.  Her awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
