Colonel Sharon K. G. Dunbar is the commander of the 75th Air Base Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah . She directs readiness and support functions for over 20,000 personnel serving in the 75 th Air Base Wing, Ogden Air Logistics Center , 388th Fighter Wing, 419th Fighter Wing, Utah Test and Training Range , and 37 other tenant organizations . C olonel Dunbar was commissioned after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1982. She holds a Master's Degree in business administration from California State University , Long Beach , and Master's Degree in national security studies from the National War College . She has served in a variety of acquisition, political-military and personnel-related positions, most recently as Commander of the 737 th Training Group (Air Force Basic Military Training) at Lackland AFB, Texas . Other assignments include serving as a contract specialist at the Air Force Plant Representative Office at Hughes Aircraft Company; contracting branch chief at Luke AFB; deputy commander of the United Kingdom Contacting Region; contracting office chief at Mather AFB; congressional liaison officer in the Office of Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force; United States Senate congressional fellow; military assistant to the Under Secretary of the Air Force; military assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense; commander of the 97th Mission Support Squadron and deputy commander, 97 th Support Group at Altus AFB. Her decorations include Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award with one device.
