Abstract : The objective of this thesis research is to create a tutorial for teaching aspects of undirected graphs in discrete math. It is one of the submodules of the Discrete Math Tutorial (DMT), which is a Computer Aided Instructional (CAI) tool for teaching discrete math to the Naval Academy and the Westpoint Military Academy students. In order to accomplish the objective, an exploration of various conventional CAI techniques is necessary to determine which methods are readily adaptable for use with the PCs. Many of the design issues normally associated with the development of CAI packages are exasperated by the current physical limitations of the PC-based systems. With proper design and appropriate trade offs, however, effective CAI packages for the PCs are possible. The software designed for this thesis is only an example of the possibilities made available by the PCs.
