Abstract : Development of two candidate submarine hull insulations based on fiber glass materials is described. Properties of the materials, submitted to the Navy in substantial quantity, are presented in detail. The fire-resistant, anti-sweat materials meet or exceed 10 of the 13 specifications for which tests have been performed. Further development is recommended. (Author)
