Abstract : In 2014, our team built the worlds first infraredLED scene projector. This system is called the SLEDSprojector. It displays 512x512 MWIR images from a DVIcomputer interface at 100HZ. The projector has beensuccessfully evaluated at multiple user facilities and haslogged several hundred hours of operation. Thermalmodelling was done to simulate the dissipation of heat in theinfrared scene projector (IRSP). Current work is being doneat the University of Delawares Scene Projection Evaluationand Research (SPEAR) laboratory to evaluate and updatethe thermal models.
