Abstract : On 10 August, the Brigade deployed to the portion of Phouc Tuy Province known as the Mao Tao Secret Zone, making it the first US force to conduct operations in that area. After Operation Toledo began, interrogation of captured VC indicated that the VC forces started to depart the area when the Brigade arrived. The Brigade further deployed to Cam My area in an attempt to cut off the retreat of the VC forces.
