ASIC Working Groups

The tasks of the ASIC are carried out within a Working Group (WG) and Project Group (PG) structure. WGs bring together subject matter experts (SMEs)from each of the member nations, and are tasked with developing coaliton interoperability product agreements, exchanging information, and sponsoring Test Project Agreements. They meet once every 12 months, with most of their work being conducted utlizing the ASIC Private Website Forum between meetings.

National WG delegations are led by a Head of Delegation (HoD), who is responsible for coordinating and administering national input to the WG. Delegations also include Project Leads and SME Members to provide additional specialist advice.

Project Groups (PGs) differ from WGs in that they are established for the purpose of progressing a specific task or tasks, over a defined period. PGs may be made up of members of a number of existing WGs and/or experts from outside the existing WG framework. The Project Groups are not permanent and may be set up each year to complete required tasks from the Task List that deal with specific interoperability issues that require a dedicated team of SMEs.

The Desired Interoperability for each WG and Steering Group and Management Committee directives are shown on the following pages:
